I took this picture on the way back to the ship from Chitchen Itza to get a look at just how huge it is. You can see the water slides on top from this view. The windows below that were either the gym or the Windjammer Cafe. You can see Lori and Lucy walking to the ship in the foreground.

The backside of the temple shows much more wear and tear from the weather. It is amazing the rest is in as good of shape as it is!

The Mayans were really into snakes, apparently. Snakes can be found all over the architecture here, including these at the base of each staircase.
