DJ's friend, Frank, stands in front of the Old Mission lighthouse

The famous Old Mission lighthouse taken from the beach in front of it. The lighthouse sits on the 45th parallel, the midpoint between the North Pole and the Equator.

In the distance, you see the Old Mission Lighthouse. The water used to right up near it, but the water level has receded a lot. A few years before this was taken, I remember going here and being able to walk out a long way from the lighthouse in the water without it getting deep and that was fun.

This is one of my (DJ) favorite pictures. I spent so many hours and days on this dock as a child, and many more on the pontoon boat pictured. This place was beautiful and this picture brings the feels very strongly.

DJ's mom and dad and his uncle Dave and Aunt Julie all sit around the campfire at the Old Mission campgrounds. The campfire time was always an awesome capper to great days at Old Mission.

DJ and Joel leave the beach area while January, a daughter of family friends, is nearby doing who-knows-what. In the background, you can see Uncle Dave's and Aunt Julie's trailer.

A picture of opportunity as many kids were in a single frame. The two kids sitting to DJ's left were children of the owner/operators of the Old Mission Inn across the street from the campground and standing up were January and her older sister.

Joel, DJ, and Andy acting silly for the camera as we jump off The Barge. I wish we could have video taped this instead of just getting a few pictures.

I'm not sure, but it looks like Andy, Joel, and I are feeding seagulls on the beach at Old Mission in this picture.

Zak, one of our family dogs when DJ was growing up, was hyper and photogenic. Here you see him spazzing out and running towards my mom, who is taking the picture.
